Meet Executive Chef Armando Fregoso.
In his early years Armando started the love of cooking in his mother’s kitchen. “Stir the rice, don’t let it burn” were her words engraved into his head. This was about the age of 9 years old. Later he started in restaurants washing dishes at 15 years old and quickly fell in love with the kitchen. He took classes at the Cordon Bleu in Pasadena while working at the Velvet Turtle quickly moving up from prep cook through the ranks to chef. After about 16 years in restaurants he switched over to Assisted Living and has been in the industry for over 14 years. Chef Armando has been an Executive Chef for Oakmont since 2017. In Chef Armando’s free time he loves spending time with his family, friends and some good BBQ.
